CHANNEL ACT.
Act No. 61, 1924.
An Act to sanction the extension and widening of
the Cottage Creek Stormwater Channel at
Newcas t l e ; and for purposes connected
therewith. [Assented to, 23rd December, 1924.]

Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows :—
1 . This Act may be cited as the "Cottage Creek Stormwater Channel Act, 1924."
2 . The carrying out of the work described in the Schedule to this Act is hereby sanctioned, and the Secretary for Public Works is empowered to carry out the same.
3 . The plan of the said work is the plan marked " Schedule Plan—Newcastle Drainage—Cottage Creek Stormwater Channel," signed by the Secretary for Public Works and countersigned by the Chief Engineer for Water Supply and Sewerage, and deposited in the public office of the said Secretary.
4 . The cost of carrying out the said work is estimated
at two hundred thousand pounds, and such estimated cost shall not, under any circumstances, be exceeded by more than ten per centum.

The channel will lie par t lv open and part ly covered, and will consist
par t ly of concrete and par t lv of earth, covered in places with concrete
slabs, and, where underground, will be constructed with nionior pipes.
T h e channel varies in size from 10 feet i! inches by G feet •> inchesto 5 feet 0 inches by •" feet (', i rehes, with a, total length , including
branches, of i'S, ','jti feet.
The work is to be subject to such deviat ions and modifications as
the Const ruc t ing Au tho r i t y mav think desirable.
