An Act to authorise the Construction of the Cossack-

Roebourne Tramway. [Assented to 12th Tidy, 1886.

Preamble

HEREAS it is expedient to authorise the construction and

it enacted by His Excellency the Governor of Western Australia and itsWmaintenance of a Tramway from Cossack to Roebourne : Be

Dependencies, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative

Council thereof, as follows :—

The Cossack-Roebourne Tramway Act, 1886

1. This Act may be cited as The Cossack-Roebourne Tramway short tine

Act, 1886.'

2. It shall be lawful to construct and maintain a Tramway from Power to con.

Cossack to Roebourne, with all necessary, proper, and usual works and stract conveniences in connection therewith, in the line and upon the lands described in the Schedule to this Act.

SCHEDULE

Description of Line from Cossack to Roebourne

This line starts at a point marked A on general Plan, about 25 links south- west from most southern corner of Cossack Town Lot No.125; thence by a straight line bearing N. 326° 33' for 9 chains 50 links along Pearl Street ; thence by a curve to the left of 12 chains rad. the chord of which bears N. 296° 51' for 11 chains 87 links; thence by a straight line bearing N. 267° 9' for 28 chains 95 links ; thence by a curve to the left of 40 chains rad., the chord of which bears N. 252° 2', for 20 chains 86 links ; thence by a straight line bearing N. 236° 54' for 85 chains 89 links ; thence by a curve to the left of 100 chains rad., the chord of which bears N. 217° 52', for 65 chains 27 links ; thence by a straight line bearing N. 198° 49' for 209 chains 55 links, said straight line passing through Location 39 for a dis- tance of 74 chains 77 links ; thence by a curve to the left of 80 chains rad., the chord of which bears N. 193° 20', for 15 chains 29 links; thence by a straight line bearing N. 187° 51' for 39 chains 12 links ; thence by a curve to the left of 40 chains rad., the chord of which bears N. 172° 45', for 20 chains 86 links ; thence by a straight line bearing N. 157° 38' for 05 chains 30 links ; thence by a curve to the right of 30 chains rad., the chord of which bears N. 165° 2', for 7 chains 73 links ; thence by a straight line bearing N. 172° 26' for 30 chains 53 links ; thence by a curve to the right of 80 chains rad., the chord of which bears N. 176° 13', for 10 chains 60 links ; thence by a straight line bearing N. 180° 1' along the east side of Roe Street, in the Town of Roebourne, for 26 chains 40 links, and terminating at a point abreast or opposite Roebourne Town Lot No. 259. Total distance being 8 miles 16 chains.
