Corrective Services Amendment Regulation 2021 (Qld)

1   Short title

This regulation may be cited as the Corrective Services Amendment Regulation 2021.

2   Regulation amended

This regulation amends the Corrective Services Regulation 2017.

3   Amendment of s 17 (Privileged mail)

(1)Section 17(1)(j)—
omit, insert—

(j)the commissioner under the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991;

Note—

The commissioner also has powers under the Human Rights Act 2019.

(2)Section 17(1)(q)—
omit, insert—

(q)a member of a Royal Commission or another commission of inquiry;

(3)Section 17(1)—
insert—

(w)the chief executive officer of the National Disability Insurance Agency;

(x)the commissioner of the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission under the National Disability Insurance Scheme Act 2013 (Cwlth).

National Disability Insurance Agency means the Agency under the National Disability Insurance Scheme Act 2013 (Cwlth).

4   Omission of s 45 (Engaged service providers to whom particular Acts apply)

5   Replacement of s 48 (Prescribed officers of the secretariat—Act, ss 208B, 210, 233, 235, 247 and 351)

Section 48—
omit, insert—

48   Apparatus for scanning search—Act, sch 4, definition scanning search

For schedule 4 of the Act, definition scanning search, paragraph 2, an ion scanning device is prescribed.
