1  Name

This is the Corporations (Provisional Relevant Providers—Expressions) Determination 2018.

2  Commencement

This determination commences the day after it is registered.

3  Authority

This determination is made under subparagraph 921U(2)(a)(v) of the Corporations Act 2001.

4  Specification of expressions

  The expressions “provisional financial planner” and “provisional financial adviser” are specified to refer to a provisional relevant provider.

Note 1:       Provisional relevant provider is defined in section 910A of the Corporations Act 2001.

Note 2: Under section 923C of the Corporations Act 2001, a provisional relevant provider may not assume or use the expression “financial adviser” or “financial planner” (and certain other expressions). Under subsection  923C(9), however, these expressions may be assumed or used by a provisional relevant provider in an expression specified in this section of this determination.
