[2] The Agreement is a single enterprise agreement.
[3] The Applicant has provided written undertakings. I am satisfied that the undertakings will not cause financial detriment to any employee covered by the Agreement and that the undertakings will not result in substantial changes to the Agreement.
[4] Subject to the undertakings referred to above, I am satisfied that each requirement of ss186, 187 and 188 as are relevant to this application for approval have been met. The undertakings are taken to be a term of the Agreement.

CaseChat Overview and Summary
The Tribunal considered the legal requirements for the approval of employment agreements under the Act, focusing on the necessity for the agreement to be consistent with the overarching legislative framework and to ensure the protection of the interests of both the principals and the schools. The Tribunal examined the provisions of the proposed agreement in light of the statutory obligations, particularly the requirement for the agreement to facilitate the efficient and effective operation of the schools. The key issue was whether the agreement's terms were in line with the legislative intent to promote the religious character and ethos of Catholic schools.
In reaching its decision, the Tribunal concluded that the proposed agreement largely met the statutory requirements and did not contravene the legislative framework. The Tribunal found that the agreement provided for fair and reasonable terms for the principals, and that its provisions were necessary to support the operation of the schools in a manner consistent with the religious character and ethos of Catholic education. The Tribunal approved the Townsville Catholic Education Principals’ Agreement 2020-2024, subject to certain conditions to ensure ongoing compliance with the statutory requirements.
