PROCLAMATION

NEW SOUTH WALES

I, Rear Admiral PETER ROSS SINCLAIR, A.C., Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in

pursuance of section 2 of the Coroners (Amendment) Act 1993, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 1 January 1994 as the day on which Schedule 1 (3), (4) and (6) to that Act, and section 3 of that Act in its application to those provisions, commence.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Proclamation commences the amendments contained in the Coroners (Amendment) Act 1993 which provide for the appointment of up to two Deputy State Coroners (instead of only one) and for the appointment of one as the Senior Deputy State Coroner to act as State Coroner during the illness or absence or a vacancy in the office of the State Coroner.
