Copyright Tribunal (Procedure) Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Copyright Act 1968.

Principal Regulations

1. In these Regulations, “Principal Regulations” means the Copyright Tribunal (Procedure) Regulations.

2. Regulation 47 of the Principal Regulations is repealed and the following regulation substituted:

Payment of witnesses’ fees and expenses

“47. Where a witness—

(a) attends to give evidence in a proceeding;

(b) attends to give evidence and produce documents or articles in a proceeding; or

(c) attends to produce documents or articles in a proceeding,

in accordance with a summons, or at the request of a party to the proceeding or of the Tribunal, payment of fees and expenses to the witness shall be made by the person on whose behalf the witness is summoned or at whose request the witness attends or, if the witness is summoned or requested to attend on behalf of the Tribunal, by the Commonwealth.”.

Third Schedule

3. The Third Schedule to the Principal Regulations is repealed.
