Copyright (International Protection) Regulations 2(Amendment)

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council and being satisfied that, in respect of performances, sound broadcasts and television broadcasts to which the provisions of the Copyright Act 1968 relate, provision has been or will be made under the law of Argentina, and of Spain, under which adequate protection is or will be given:

  • (a)

    in the case of performances—to performers whose performances are protected under that Act; and

  • (b)

    in the case of sound broadcasts and television broadcasts—to owners of copyright under the Act;

make the following Regulations under the Copyright Act 1968.

1.   Amendment

1.1   The Copyright (International Protection) Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.

[NOTE: These Regulations commence on gazettal: see Acts InterpretationAct 1901, s.48]

2.   Schedule 1 (Countries to which the provisions of the Act apply)

2.1   Part IV:

Before:

“Austria”,

insert:

“Argentina”.

2.2   Part IV:

After:

“Philippines”,

insert:

“Spain”.
