and by t h e au thor i ty of t h e same as follows :—
1. I t shall be lawful for t he said Righ t Reverend W i l l i a m L a n i g a n the Very Reverend Pa t r i ck D u n n e and J o h n H u r l e y jun io r hereinafter styled Trus tees or o ther t he Trustees or Trus tee for t h e t ime be ing to sell a n d dispose of t h e said l and described in t h e Schedules here to e i ther by publ ic auct ion or pr iva te con t rac t a n d ei ther in one lot or several lots as t hey shall deem most expedient and for s u c h price or prices as can be h a d or obta ined for t he same and upon such te rms and conditions of sale as t h e said Trus tees m a y deem expedien t and to b u y in t he said lands or any pa r t or par t s thereof a t any auc t ion sale or to rescind or vary t he te rms of any cont rac t for t he sale of t he said lands or any pa r t or pa r t s thereof and w h e n sold to convey t ransfer and assure t h e same or any p a r t or par t s thereof in fee simple to t h e purchaser or purchasers thereof his her or t he i r heirs or assigns freed and discharged from each and all t he t rus t s affecting t he same a n d t h e receipt in wr i t ing of t h e said Trustees the i r heirs or assigns for any money ar is ing from such sale or sales shal l be an effectual a n d absolute discharge to t he purchaser or purchasers of t he said land or any p a r t or par t s thereof and shal l exonera te h i m or t h e m from seeing to the applicat ion of any proceeds of such sale or sales

2. The said Trustees the i r heirs or assigns shall s tand possessed of all moneys ar is ing from each and every such sale or sales as afore said and after t h e p a y m e n t of t h e ac tua l and reasonable expenses of such sale or sales and of th is A c t upon t rus t to apply the proceeds of such sale or sales in or towards t he purchase of ano ther piece or pieces of land in the said vil lage of Coo tamundry as a site or sites for t h e erection thereon of a R o m a n Catholic church and presbytery and to app ly t he remainder of t he said moneys (if any) which shal l no t be requi red for t h e purposes aforesaid in or towards t he erect ion of a

to be purchased as aforesaid and the receipts of any person or persons to whom any moneys shall be paid unde r t he provisions of th is Ac t shall be valid and complete discharges to t he Trustees thei r heirs and assigns for such moneys .
