AN ACT to authorise the Construction of a

Railway from Coolgardie to Kalgoorlie.

2. IT shall be lawful to construct and maintain a railway from

Deviation.

3. NOTWITHSTANDING anything contained in "The Rail-

ways Act, 1878," it shall be lawful for the Commissioner of Railways to deviate from the line as described in such Schedule to the extent of ten miles on either side thereof.

to this Act.

COOL GARDIE -KALGOORLIE RAILWAY.

DESCRIPTION OF LINE OF RAILWAY.

Commencing at a point in or near Coolgardie Townsite, and proceeding thence in an Easterly direction for about half a mile; thence in a North-East by Easterly direction for about three-quarters of a mile ; thence in a North- North-Easterly direction for about two miles ; thence in a North-East by Northerly direction for about one mile; thence iu a North-Easterly direction for about two and a half miles; thence in an East by Northerly direction for about three-quarters of a mile; thence in an East-North-Easterly direction for about three and a quarter miles; thence in a North-Easterly direction for about ten and a quarter miles ; thence in a North-East by Northerly direction for about three miles, and terminating at a point in or near Kalgoorlie Townsite, as more particularly delineated by a red line on Map marked P.W.D. W.A. 3882, deposited at the Office of the Commissioner of Railways at Perth. Total length about twenty-four miles.
