REHABILITATION REPEAL ACT

No. 14 of 1989

AN ACT to repeal the Convicted Inebriates' Rehabilitation Act 1963 and to amend the Acts Amendment (Mental Health) Act 1981.

[Assented to 16 November 1989]

The Parliament of Western Australia enacts as follows:

Short title

1. This Act may be cited as the Convicted Inebriates' Rehabilitation

Repeal Act 1989.

Commencement

2. This Act shall come into operation on the day on which it receives

the Royal Assent.

Repeal

3. The Convicted Inebriates' Rehabilitation Act 1963* is repealed.

[Reprinted as authorized 7 April 1971 and amended by Act No. 33 of

1974.]

Amending Act

4. In this Act the Acts Amendment (Mental Health) Act 1981* is

referred to as the amending Act.

[*Act No. 52 of 1981.]

Long title amended

5.     The long title of the amending Act is amended by deleting "the

Convicted Inebriates' Rehabilitation Act 1963-1974,".

Part II repealed

6.     Part II of the amending Act is repealed.
