His Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the Conveyancing Act 1919.

The object of this Regulation is to prescribe certain corporations as prescribed authorities for the purposes of sections 88A, 88D and 88E respectively of the Conveyancing Act 1919. Section 88A allows an easement without a dominant tenement to be created in favour of, or assured to, a prescribed authority, but only where the easement is for the purpose of, or incidental to, the supply of a utility service to the public. Section 88D allows a prescribed authority to impose restrictions on the use of, or public positive covenants on, land vested in that authority. Section 88E allows a prescribed authority to impose similar restrictions on land not vested in the authority, but only where the registered proprietor and other persons with an interest in the land have given their consent.

This Regulation is made under the Conveyancing Act 1919, including sections 88A, 88D, 88E and 202 (the general regulation-making power) and in particular section 202 ( l ) (e).

Clause 1 Conveyancing (General) Amendment (Prescribed Authorities) Regulation 1999

This Regulation is the Conveyancing (General) Amendment

(Prescribed Authorities) Regulation 1999.

The Conveyancing (General) Regulation I998 is amended as set out in Schedule 1.

The explanatory note does not form part of this Regulation.

Insert after clause 47 (e):

(f)	The Albury Gas Co Ltd (ACN 000 001 249),

(i)        Telstra Corporation Limited (ACN 051 775 556),

(j) Vodafone Network Pty Limited (ACN 056 161 043).

Insert after clause 48 (e):

( f )	an irrigation corporation within the meaning of the Irrigation Corporations Act 1994,
(g)	The Uniting Church in Australia Property Trust (N.S.W.).
