I, the Minister for Fair Trading, in pursuance of section 8 of the Conveyancers

Licensing Act 1995, make the following Order.

Explanatory note

The object of this Order is to specify those policies of professional indemnity insurance that are approved policies for the purposes of the Conveyancers Licensing Act 1995.
This Order is made under section 8 of the Conveyancers Licensing Act 1995.
This Order is consequent on the enactment of the Conveyancers Licensing

Amendment (Professional Indemnity Insurance) Act 2000.

1     Name of Order

This Order is the Conveyancers Licensing Order 2000.

2 Commencement

This Order commences on 1 July 2000.

3     Approved policies of professional indemnity insurance

The following policies are approved for the purposes of section 8 of the Conveyancers Licensing Act 1995:

(a)	the master policy of professional indemnity insurance (Number CI0026757) of GIO Insurance Limited covering the period from 1 July 2000 to 30 June 2001,
(b)	the master policy of professional indemnity insurance (Number 0035NK18976) of HIH Casualty and General Insurance Limited covering the period from 1 July 2000 to 30 June 2001.
