PROCLAMATION

I, Rear Admiral PETER ROSS SINCLAIR, A.C., Governor of the State
of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in

pursuance of section 2 (1) of the Conveyancers Licensing Act 1992, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 10 September 1993 as the day on which Parts 2–6 and 8 of that Act and item (9) of the matter in Schedule 2 to that Act that relates to the Legal Profession Act 1987 commence.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Proclamation is to commence the bulk of the operative provisions of the Conveyancers Licensing Act 1992. Certain provisions dealing with preliminary matters and the Conveyancers Licensing Committee commenced on the date of assent to the Act (8 October 1992) as did the Schedules (other than item (9) of the matter in Schedule 2 relating to the Legal Profession Act 1987) and the Dictionary at the end of the Act.
