1. These regulations may be cited as the
Controlled Substances (Possession of Poisons)
2. These regulations will come into operation on 1 July, 1988.
3. In these regulations—
"the Act" means the
Controlled Substances Act, 1984 :"the Poison List" means the list (as in force from time to time) of substances declared to be
poisons by proclamation under the
Drugs Act, 1908 .
4. Section 22 of the Act applies to the poisons listed in the schedule.
5. The fee for the grant or renewal of a licence under section 22 of the Act is $50.
6. Subject to the Act, a licence under section 22 of the Act expires on 30 June next
following the date on which it is granted or renewed.
7. A person is exempt from the requirement to hold a licence under section 22 in respect of possession of seven litres or less of chloropicrin or a substance containing five per cent or less of chloropicrin.
