REGULATIONS UNDER THE CONTROL OF NAVAL WATERS ACT 1918.

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth, of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Control of Naval Waters Act 1918.

Amendments of the Control of Naval Waters Regulations.

Definitions.

1. Regulation 2 of the Control of Naval Waters Regulations is amended by inserting in the definition of “Naval Establishment”, after the word “Arsenal” the words “Dolphin Berth, Pier, Jetty”.

First Schedule.

2. The First Schedule to the Control of Naval Waters Regulations is amended—

(a) by inserting in the paragraph headed “Port Jackson”, after the words “Naval Armament Depot, Newington.”, the following words:—

Dolphin Berth No. lc—Neutral Bay.

Dolphin Berth No. lb—Kirribilli.

Dolphin Berths Nos. 2b and 5c—Athol Bay.

Balmoral Naval Depot.

H.M.A. Boom Defence Depot, Waverton.

R.A.N. Torpedo Factory, North Sydney.;

(b) by omitting from that paragraph the section headed Garden Islandand inserting in its stead the following section:—

Garden Island.

“West Limit—From a position (a) (the northern extremity of No. 2 berth, Woolloomooloo Bay) 219° distant 2,310 feet from position ‘A’ (Garden Island flagstaff Lat. 33° 51’ 40” S. Long. 151° 13’ 50” E. approx.) in a 292° direction for 100 feet to position (b) 221° distant 2,350 feet from position ‘A’, thence in a 022° direction for 920 feet to position (c) 232½° distant 1,510 feet from position ‘A’ thence in a 031° direction for

1,260 feet to a position (d) 285° distant 575 feet from position ‘A’, thence in a 043° direction for 450 feet to position (e) 334° distant 530 feet from position ‘A’.

North Limit—From position (e) in a 090° direction for 6,545 feet to position (f) 057½° distant 3,120 feet from position ‘B’ (Clark Island flagstaff Lat. 33° 51’ 50” S, Long. 151° 14’ 35” E. approx.).

East Limit—From position (f) in a 180° direction to the shore at Point Piper.

South Limit—From position (g) 112½° distant 2,740 feet from position ‘B’ in a 274° direction for 5,810 feet to position (h) 174½° distant 2,275 feet from position ‘A’, thence in a 180° direction for 400 feet to position (j) 175½° distant 2,675 feet from position ‘A’ thence in a 226° direction to the South-eastern extremity of the Dock Wall”; and

(c) by omitting from that paragraph all the words from and including the words “Limits of Submarine Mining Ground, Rose Bay” to and including the words “New South Wales”.

3. The Second Schedule to the Control of Naval Waters Regulations is amended by omitting Plan C and inserting in its stead the following plan:—

“Plan C.
