REGULATIONS UNDER THE DEFENCE ACT 1903-1927.

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Defence Act 1903-1927, to come into operation forthwith.

Control of Defence Areas Regulations.

(Statutory Rules 1927, No. 109, as amended to this date.)

(Second Amendment.)

1. Table A of the Schedule to the Control of Defence Areas Regulations is amended as follows:—

(i) In the State of Queensland, after the description of land under the heading “County of Ward”, insert the following new heading and description:—

“Archerfield (Queensland) Civil Aviation Aerodrome Area.

Being the area shown hachured on plan ‘A’ appearing on page 1386 of Commonwealth of Australia Gazette, No. 72, of the twenty-seventh day of August, One thousand nine hundred and thirty-one.”

(ii) In the State of New South Wales, after the description of land under the heading “County of Goulburn”, insert the following new heading and description:—

“Mascot (New South Wales) Civil Aviation Aerodrome Area.

Being the area shown hachured on plan ‘B’ appearing on page 1387 of Commonwealth of Australia Gazette, No. 72, of the twenty-seventh day of August, One thousand nine hundred and thirty-one.”

(iii) In the State of Victoria, after the description of land under the heading “Counties of Anglesey and Dalhousie”, insert the following new heading and description:—

“Essendon (Victoria) Civil Aviation Aerodrome Area.

Being the area shown hachured on plan ‘C’ appearing on page 1388 of Commonwealth of Australia Gazette, No. 72, of the twenty-seventh day of August, One thousand nine hundred and thirty-one.”

(iv) In the State of South Australia, after the descriptions of land under the heading “County of Adelaide”, insert the following new heading and description:—

“Parafield (South Australia) Civil Aviation Aerodrome Area.

Being the area shown hachured on plan ‘D’ appearing on page 1389 of Commonwealth of Australia Gazette, No. 72, of the twenty-seventh day of August, One thousand nine hundred and thirty-one.”

(v) In the State of Western Australia, after the description of land under the heading “Broome”, insert the following new heading and description:—

“Maylands (Western Australia) Civil Aviation Aerodrome Area.

Being the area shown hachured on plan ‘E’ appearing on page 1390 of Commonwealth of Australia Gazette, No. 72, of the twenty-seventh day of August, One thousand nine hundred and thirty-one.’’

(vi) In the State of Tasmania, after the description of land under the heading “County of Buckingham”, insert the following new heading and description:—

“Western Junction (Tasmania) Civil Aviation Aerodrome Area.

Being the area shown hachured on plan ‘F’ appearing on page 1821 of Commonwealth of Australia Gazette, No. 92, of the twelfth day of November, One thousand nine hundred and thirty-one.”

2. Table B of the Schedule to the Control of Defence Areas Regulations is amended as follows:—

(i) In the State of Queensland, after the description of land under the heading “County of Torres”, insert the following new heading and description:—

“Archerfield (Queensland) Civil Aviation Aerodrome Area.

Being the whole of the area shown on plan ‘A’ appearing on page 1386 of Commonwealth of Australia Gazette, No. 72, of the twenty-seventh day of August, One thousand nine hundred and thirty-one.”

(ii) In the State of New South Wales, after the descriptions of land under the heading “County of Gloucester”, insert the following new heading and description:—

“Mascot (New South Wales) Civil Aviation Aerodrome Area.

Being the whole of the area shown on plan ‘B’ appearing on page 1387 of Commonwealth of Australia Gazette,No. 72, of the twenty-seventh day of August, One thousand nine hundred and thirty-one.”

 

(iii) In the State of Victoria, after the description of land under the heading “Counties of Anglesey and Dalhousie”, insert the following new heading and description:—

“Essendon (Victoria) Civil Aviation Aerodrome Area.

Being the whole of the area shown on plan ‘C’ appearing on page 1388 of Commonwealth of Australia Gazette, No. 72, of the twenty-seventh day of August, One thousand nine hundred and thirty-one.”

(iv) In the State of South Australia, after the description of land under the heading “County of Adelaide”,insert the following new heading and description:—

“Parafield (South Australia) Civil Aviation Aerodrome Area.

Being the whole of the area shown on plan ‘D’ appearing on page 1389 of Commonwealth of Australia Gazette, No. 72, of the twenty-seventh day of August, One thousand nine hundred and thirty-one.”

(v) In the State of Western Australia, after the description of land under the heading “North Fremantle”, insert the following new heading and description:—

“Maylands (Western Australia) Civil Aviation Aerodrome Area.

Being the whole of the area shown on plan ‘E’ appearing on page 1390 of Commonwealth of Australia Gazette, No. 72, of the twenty-seventh day of August, One thousand nine hundred and thirty-one.”

(vi) In the State of Tasmania, after the description of land under the heading “County of Buckingham”,insert the following new heading and description:—

“Western Junction (Tasmania) Civil Aviation Aerodrome Area.

Being the whole of the area shown on plan ‘F’appearing on page 1821 of Commonwealth of Australia Gazette, No. 92, of the twelfth day of November, One thousand nine hundred and thirty-one.”

3. Table C of the Schedule to the Control of Defence Areas Regulations is amended as follows:—

(i) After the description of land under the heading “North Australia—County of Palmerston”, insert the following new headings and description:—

“QUEENSLAND.

Archerfield (Queensland) Civil Aviation Aerodrome Area.

Being the area shown hachured on plan ‘A’ appearing on page 1386 of Commonwealth of Australia Gazette, No. 72, of the twenty-seventh day of August, One thousand nine hundred and thirty-one.”

 

(ii) In the State of New South Wales, after the description of land under the heading “County of Cumberland”, insert the following new heading and description:—

“Mascot (New South Wales) Civil Aviation Aerodrome Area.

Being the area shown hachured on plan ‘B’ appearing on page 1387 of Commonwealth of Australia Gazette, No. 72, of the twenty-seventh day of August, One thousand nine hundred and thirty-one.”

(iii) In the State of Victoria, after the description of land under the heading “County of Anglesey”, insert the following new headings and descriptions:—

(iv) In the State of Western Australia, after the description of land under the heading “Fremantle”, insert the following new headings and descriptions:—

“Maylands (Western Australia) Civil Aviation Aerodrome Area.

Being the area shown hachured on plan ‘E’ appearing on page 1390 of Commonwealth of Australia Gazette, No. 72, of the twenty-seventh day of August, One thousand nine hundred and thirty-one.

TASMANIA.

Western Junction (Tasmania) Civil Aviation Aerodrome Area.

Being the area shown hachured on plan ‘F’ appearing on page 1821, of Commonwealth of Australia Gazette, No. 92, of the twelfth day of November, One thousand nine hundred and thirty-one.”
