1 Onausittn'Ll ANNO TERTIO DECIMO ELIZABETHAE SECUNDAE REGINAE No. 2 of 1964 An Act to Repeal " The Contractors ' and Workmen's Lien Acts, 1906 to 1921" [ASSENTED TO 6TH MARCH, 1964] BE IT ENACTED by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follow; :- 1. (1) Short title . This Act may be cited as " The Contactors' and Workmen's Lien Acts Repeal Act of 1964." (2) Commencement of Act. This Act shall come into operation on the first day of April, one thousand nine hundred and sixty-four. 1
2 Contractors' and Workmen's Lien Acts Repeal Act of 1964, No. 2 2. Repeal of 6 Edw > VII. No . 30, s. 37 (2) of 9 Geo. V . No. 19, and 12 Geo . V. No. 9. " The Contractors ' and Workmen ' s Lien Acts , 1906 to 1921 " (being " The Contractors' and Workmen's Lien Act of 1906," subsection ( 2.) of section thirty-seven of " The Wages Act of 1918," and " The Contractors ' and Workmen's Lien Act Amendment Act of 1921 ") are hereby repealed : Provided that , without prejudice to " The Acts Interpretation Acts, 1954 to 1962," the Acts repealed by this Act shall be deemed to continue in force in relation to any lien or charge thereunder a notice of claim whereof shall have been given as prescribed by the repealed Acts prior to the date of the commencement of this Act.
