CONTAMINATED LAND MANAGEMENT ACT 1997 NO 140—

PROCLAMATION

(L.S.) JAMES JACOB SPIGELMAN, Lieutenant-Governor.

I, the Honourable James Jacob Spigelman, Lieutenant-Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Contaminated Land Management Act 1997, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 1 September 1998 as the day on which the uncommenced provisions of that Act (except section 60) commence.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object o f this Proclamation is to commence the uncommenced provisions of the
Contaminated Land Managemnet Act 1997 except section 60, which creates offences
relating to the failure to report contamination of land to the Environmental Protection

Authority.
