Her Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the Consumer, Trader and Tenancy Tribunal Act 2001.

Explanatory note
The object of this Regulation is to allow a party to proceedings before the Consumer, Trader and Tenancy Tribunal to apply for permission to be represented by another person if the proceedings relate to a tenancy (within the meaning of the Agricultural Tenancies Act 1990) and involve a claim or dispute for an amount exceeding $30,000.

This Regulation is made under the Consumer, Trader and Tenancy Tribunal Act 2001, including section 36 (2) and section 86 (the general regulation-making power).

1      Name of Regulation

This Regulation is the Consumer, Trader and Tenancy Tribunal
Amendment (Representation) Regulation 2012.

2      Commencement

This Regulation commences on 1 August 2012 and is required to be published on the NSW legislation website.

3 Amendment of Consumer, Trader and Tenancy Tribunal Regulation 2009

Clause 14 Circumstances in which application may be made

Insert after clause 14 (r):

(s) if the proceedings relate to a tenancy (within the meaning of the Agricultural Tenancies Act 1990) and involve a claim or dispute for an amount exceeding $30,000.
