Consumer Credit (Tasmania) Amendment Regulations 1999

I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, make the following regulations under the Consumer Credit (Tasmania) Act 1996 .23 August 1999

1Short titleThese regulations may be cited as the Consumer Credit (Tasmania) Amendment Regulations 1999 . 2CommencementThese regulations are taken to have taken effect on 23 December 1998. 3Principal RegulationsIn these regulations, the Consumer Credit (Tasmania) Regulations are referred to as the Principal Regulations. 4Regulation 75 amended (Contribution to civil penalties by participants in programs)Regulation 75(6) of the Principal Regulations is amended by omitting "23 December 1998" and substituting "the commencement of section 169A of the Code (as inserted by the amending Act)".

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the regulation) These regulations amend the Consumer Credit (Tasmania) Regulations by providing that regulation 75 applies to contracts entered into before the commencement of section 169A of the Consumer Credit Code.
