An Act to amend section 4A (3) of the Consumer Claims Tribunals Act,

1974, as a consequence of the enactment of the Landlord and Tenant

Consumer Claims Tribunals (Rental Bonds) Amendment 1985

BE it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

Short title.

1. This Act may be cited as the "Consumer Claims Tribunals (Rental

Bonds) Amendment Act, 1985".

Commencement.

(1) Sections 1 and 2 shall commence on the date of assent to this Act. (2) Except as provided by subsection (1), this Act shall commence on the day appointed and notified under section 2 (2) of the Landlord and Tenant (Rental Bonds) Amendment Act, 1985.

Amendment of Act No. 16, 1974.

2.     The Consumer Claims Tribunals Act, 1974, is amended in the manner

set forth in Schedule 1.

AMENDMENTS TO THE CONSUMER CLAIMS TRIBUNAL ACT, 1974.

(1) Section 4A (3)—

Before "'including", insert "or a claim in relation lo a rental bond made by a person or organisation referred to in section 11 (1A) of

that Act".

(2) Section 4A (3)—

Omit "against", insert instead "in relation to".
