I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Ordinance under the Seat of Government (Administration) Act 1910.

An Ordinance to amend the Consumer Affairs Ordinance 1973

Short title

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Consumer Affairs (Amendment)
Ordinance 1981. 1
Secrecy

2. Section 15E of the Consumer Affairs Ordinance 1973 2 is amended—

(a) by omitting from sub-section (2) "3 months" and substituting "6

Authorised by the ACT Parliamentary Counsel—also accessible at

months, or both" ;

(b) by omitting from sub-section (3) "be required t o " ; and

(c) by adding at the end of sub-section (3)—

"Penalty: $1,000 or imprisonment for 6 months, or both.".
