AN ACT to amend the Construction Safety Act

1972.

(Assented to 29 November 1984.]

BE it enacted by the Queen's Most ExcellentMajesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Construction 21.Tgalpal

Safety Amendment Act 1984. Act.

Section 35

Section 35 of the principal Act is amended

by inserting after subsection (5) the following

subsection-

(6) Proceedings for an offence against subsection (1) may, where the accident concerned causes loss of life or serious bodily injury to any workman or other person, be commenced at any time within 2 years after the offence was committed and not afterwards. ".

The principal Act is amended by deleting in the provisions referred to in column 1 of the table hereunder the penalties respectively set out in column 2 and substituting in each case the corresponding penalty set out in column 3.
