CONSTRUCTION SAFETY ACT 1912—REGULATION
(Relating to the appointment of inspectors)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Construction Safety Act 1912, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

The Construction Safety Regulations 1950 are amended:
(a)
by omitting from Regulation 11 the word “Minister” and by inserting instead the words “General Manager of the Authority”;
(b)
by omitting Form 1 from the Second Schedule and by inserting instead the following form:

Certificate of Appointment of Inspector
This is to certify that ........................................................................................................, whose signature appears below, has been appointed an inspector under the Construction Safety Act 1912 and is authorised to exercise all the powers of an inspector under that Act and the regulations made under it.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
The purpose of this Regulation is to amend the Construction Safety Regulations
1950 so as:
| (a) | to provide that the General Manager of the Workcover Authority, instead of the Minister, is to sign all certificates of appointment; and |
| (b) | to substitute the prescribed form of certificate of appointment to reflect that |
