An Act to provide for the holding of a referendum upon the Bill entitled
"A Bill for an Act to require Members of Parliament to disclose certain

pecuniary interests and other matters". [Assented to, 27th August,

1981.]

Constitution (Referendum).

BE it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

Short title.

1.     This Act may be cited as the "Constitution (Referendum) Act, 1981".

Referendum to be held on Bill relating to disclosures by
Members of Parliament.

The Bill entitled "A Bill for an Act to require Members of Parliament to disclose certain pecuniary interests and other matters" as finally passed through both Houses of the Legislature on 12th May, 1981, shall be sub- mitted by way of referendum to the electors qualified to vote for the election of Members of the Legislative Assembly.

2.

Date of referendum.

3.      The day appointed for the taking of the votes of the electors at the

referendum is 19 September, 1981.

Manner of taking votes at referendum.

4.     The referendum shall be conducted in accordance with the provisions

of the Constitution Further Amendment (Referendum) Act, 1930.
