An Act to amend the Constitution (Public Service) Amendment Act, 1916, with respect to the candidature of an officer in the public service of New South Wales at an election of members of the Legislative Council. [Assented to, 11th September, 1978.]

B E it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with
the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows : —
1. This Act may be cited as the "Constitution (Public Service)
Amendment Act, 1978".
2. The Constitution (Public Service) Amendment Act, 1916,
is amended—
(a)
by omitting from the long title the words "Legislative Assembly" and by inserting instead the words "Legis lative Council or Legislative Assembly";
(b)
(i)
by omitting from section 2 (1) the word "twenty- six" and by inserting instead the matter "13B";
(ii)
by omitting from section 2 (2) the words "Legis lative Assembly" and by inserting instead the words "Legislative Council or Legislative Assembly".
