Constitution (Office of Governor) Act Amendment Act 1989, No. 71 967 BE IT ENACTED by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:- 1. Short Title . This Act may be cited as the Constitution (Office of Governor) Act Amendment Act 1989. 2. Citation . (1) In this Act the Constitution (Office of Governor) Act1987 is referred to as the Principal Act. (2) The Principal Act as amended by this Act may be cited as the Constitution (Office of Governor) Act 1987-1989. 3. Amendment of s. 4. Authorities and powers of Governor . Section 4 of the Principal Act is amended- (a) by numbering the provisions thereof as subsection (1); (b) by adding at the end thereof the following subsection:- "(2) The Governor is authorized, and has always had authority, to keep and use the Public Seal of the State for sealing all public instruments made and passed in Her Majesty's name.".
