CONSTITUTION FURTHER

AMENDMENT (REFERENDUM)

ACT.

Act No. 1, 1933.

An Act to provide for the holding of a referendum upon a Bill intituled " A Bill to reform the constitution and alter the powers of the Legislative Council; to reduce and limit the number of Members of the Legislative Council; to reconstitute the Legislative Council in accordance with the reformed constitution; to amend the Constitution Act, 1902, and certain other Acts, and for purposes connected therewith"; to amend the Constitution Further Amendment (Referendum) Act, 1930; and for purposes connected therewith. [Assented to, 1st February, 1933.]

BE it enacted b y the King 's Most Excellent Majesty, lative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South by and with the advice and consent of t he Legis­	Wales in Parl iament assembled, and by the au thor i ty of
t he same, as follows :—

1 . This Act may be cited as the "Cons t i t u t ion F u r t h e r

Amendment (Referendum) Act, 1932."
2 . The Bill int i tuled " A n Act to reform the consti­ tu t ion and a l ter the powers of the Legislat ive Council; to reduce and limit the number of Members of the Legis­ lat ive Council; to reconst i tute the Legislat ive Council in accordance with the reformed const i tu t ion; to amend the Const i tut ion Act, 1902, and cer tain other A c t s ; and for purposes connected t he r ewi th , " as finally passed th rough both Houses of the Legis la ture upon the sixteenth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and thir ty- two,

shall be .submitted by way of referendum to the electors qualified to vote for the election of members of the Legislative Assembly.

The thirteenth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-three, is hereby appointed as the date upon which the votes of the electors at such referendum shall be taken.
The referendum shall be conducted in accordance with the provisions of Part H I of the Constitution Further Amendment (Eeferendum) Act, 19.'30, as amended by this Act.

3 . The Constitution Further Amendment (Beforon-

• dum) Act, 1930, is amended—

(a) by omitting- section three;

(b)	by omitting subsections three and four of section five;
(c)	by omitting from section twelve the words "polling place a reas" wherever occurring and by inserting in lieu thereof the word "subdivi- s ions";

(d) by omitting the First Schedule.
