AN ACT to amend the Constitution Act, 1889

and the Constitution Acts Amendment Act,

1899-1950.

[Assented to 18th December, 1950.]

BE it enacted by the King's Most Excellent

Majesty, by and with the advice and consent

of the Legislative Council and the Legislative

Assembly of Western Australia, in this present

Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the

same, as follows:—

1. This Act may be cited as the Constitution Acts Short title.

Amendment Act (No. 2), 1950, and shall be read as

one with the Constitution Act, 1889 (Act No. 23 of 1889), and with the Constituton Acts Amendment Act, 1899-1950 (Act No. 19 of 1899, as amended by Acts numbered 21 of 1904, 6 and 31 of 1911, 34 of 1921, 25 of 1927, 1 and 26 of 1929, 25 of 1933, 40 of 1934, 29 of 1942, 52 of 1945, 2, 4 and 52 of 1947, 12 of 1948, 17 of 1949 and of 1950), referred to in this section as the principal Acts.

ment Act, 1942 (Act No. 29 of 1942) is amended by

(a)

adding after the words "not" in line nine, the words "be invalidated";

(b)

adding after the paragraph (2) the follow- ing paragraph:

(3) That such member or person accepts or holds or has accepted or held any office or place of profit from or under the Crown which the Minister of State for Defence certifies in writing under his hand, is, in his opinion, connected with the defence of the Crown.
