300 Constitution Acts Amendment Act 1983, No. 29 BE IT ENACTED by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:- 1. Short title and citation . (1) This Act may be cited as the Constitution Acts Amendment Act 1983. (2) In this Act the Constitution Acts Amendment Act1971-1982 is referred to as the Principal Act. (3) The Principal Act as amended by this Act may be cited as the Constitution Acts Amendment Act1971-1983. 2. Commencement . This Act shall be deemed to have commenced on 23 September 1982 and the Principal Act as amended by this Act shall be given effect as if the amendments provided for by this Act had been made on that date. 3. Amendment of s. 9 . Section 9 of the Principal Act is amended by inserting after the definition " additional salary " the following definition:- 44" aggregate salary " means the total salary payable to a member of the Legislative Assembly to whom additional salary is payable, being the sum of the salary payable to him as such a member and the additional salary payable to him;". 4. Amendment of s. 11 . Section 11 of the Principal Act is amended by omitting the words " additional salary " where they secondly and thirdly occur and substituting in each case the words " aggregate salary ". 5. Amendment of s. 12 . Section 12 of the Principal Act is amended by, in subsection (1), omitting the words " additional salary " where they secondly occur and substituting the words " aggregate salary ".
