Short title and citation . (1) This Act may be cited as the Constitution Act Amendment Act 1976.. (2) In this Act the Constitution Act Amendment Act 1896-1971 is referred to as the Principal Act. (3) The Principal Act as amended by this Act may be cited as the Constitution Act Amendment Act 1896-1976.

Section 3 of the Principal Act is amended by, in subsection (I)- (a) omitting the word " and " where it occurs between provisions (e) and (f); (b) adding at the end of the subsection the following provision:- (g) The Government Deputy Whip in the Legislative Assembly a salary at the rate of seven hundred and fifty dollars per annum or, where some other rate per annum is fixed for the time being under Part IV of the Constitution Acts AmendmentAct1971
