CONSTITUTION ACT 1902—PROCLAMATION

NEW SOUTH WALES

I, Rear Admiral PETER ROSS SINCLAIR, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 49 of the Constitution Act 1902, do, by this my Proclamation:

(a)

change the name of the Office of Education and Youth Affairs to the “Ministry of Education and Youth Affairs”;

(b)

establish the Ministry of Health and Community Services as a Department responsible to the Minister for Health and Community Services;

(c)

remove from the Office of Health Policy the group of staff attached to the Executive Director, Health Policy and add that group of staff to the Ministry of Health and Community Services;

(d)

remove all other branches from and abolish the Office of Health Policy and add those branches to the Department of Health;

(e)

remove from the Department of Community Services the following branches and add them to the Ministry of Health and Community Services:

Office on Ageing

Disability Services Unit

(f) change the name of the Office of the Minister for Justice to the

“Office of Justice Planning and Co-ordination”;

(g)

remove from the Ministry of Education and Youth Affairs the Women’s Co-ordination Unit and add it to the Chief Secretary’s Department.
