CONSTITUTION ACT 1902—PROCLAMATION

NEW SOUTH WALES

I, Rear Admiral PETER ROSS SINCLAIR, A.C., Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 49 of the Constitution Act 1902, do, by this my Proclamation, with effect on and from 13 April 1995:

(a) establish the Department of Training and Education Co-ordination

as a Department responsible to the Minister for Education and

Training;

(b) remove from the Office of the Board of Vocational Education and

Training the group of staff that formerly comprised the Corporate Services Unit in the Ministry of Education and Youth Affairs and add that group of staff to the Office of the Board of Studies;

(c)

remove all other branches from and abolish the Office of the Board of Vocational Education and Training and add those branches to the Department of Training and Education Co- ordination;

(d)

remove the Olympic Facility Unit from the Department of Sport and Recreation and add it to the Olympic Co-ordination Agency;

(e)

remove from the Department of Housing the group of staff principally involved with the New South Wales Land and Housing Corporation (also known as “Landcom”) and add that group of staff to the Department of Urban Affairs and Planning;

(f)

remove the Natural Resources Audit Council from the Cabinet Office and add it to the Department of Land and Water Conservation.
