An Act to apply certain Sums out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund of New South Wales towards the Services of 1884 and previous Years. [28th August, 1884.]

\ V the Members of t he Legislat ive Assembly of New South Wales
in P a r l i a m e n t assembled have resolved to g ran t to your Majesty the

sum of Seven h u n d r e d and forty thousand pounds t h a t is to say—

The s u m of P o u r hundred and t h i r t y thousand pounds being the
sum requi red to defray t h e expenses of t he various Depar t ­
men t s and Services of the Colony for the m o n t h of A u g u s t
or following m o n t h of t he year one thousand e ight hundred
and eighty-four A n d

The sum of Three hundred and ten thousand pounds for the Services

set for th in t he Schedule hereto annexed

A n d whereas we desire to m a k e good out of t h e Consolidated Revenue

F u n d of New South Wales the sum so granted to I t e r Majes ty Be it therefore enacted by the Queen 's Most Exce l len t Majes ty by and wi th t he advice and consent of t he Legislat ive Council and Legislat ive Assembly of N e w South Wales in P a r l i a m e n t assembled and by the au thor i ty of t h e same as follows :—

1.    O u t of the Consolidated B e v e n u e F u n d of N e w South Wales

the re shal l and m a y lie issued and appl ied for or towards m a k i n g good t h e supply so resolved to be granted to I t e r Majesty for t h e said several Services t he s u m of Seven hund red and forty thousand pounds of w h i c h the sum of P o u r hund red and t h i r t y thousand pounds is to be expended a t t he rates which have been sanctioned for t he year one thousand e ight hundred and e igh ty- th ree subject to t h e ra te of any reduc t ion t h a t m a y hereaf ter be; made in the expendi tu re of t he year

one thousand e ight hund red and e ighty-four and Three h u n d r e d and
t en thousand pounds for t he Services specified in t h e Schedule hereto
annexed.

2. The Treasurer shall issue a n d pay t h e said s u m for t he Services aforesaid in such m a n n e r and in such proport ions as i he Governor b y W a r r a n t s or Orders in wr i t ing unde r his hand and directed to t h e said Treasurer shall from t ime to t ime order and direct A n d t h e p a y m e n t s so to be made shall be charged upon and payable out of t he Consolidated Bevenue P u n d of t he Colony.

3. The Treasurer shall in his accounts from t ime to t ime be allowed credit for all sums of money paid by h im in pur suance of such W a r r a n t s or Orders And the receipts of the respect ive persons to w h o m the same shall be so paid shall be full and valid discharges to t h e said Treasurer in pass ing his said accounts for such sums as shall be the re in ment ioned and he shall receive credit for t he same accordingly
