in P a r l i a m e n t assembled have resolved to g ran t to Y o u r Majes ty t h e

s u m of Eive h u n d r e d and forty t housand pounds t ha t is to say—

The

s u m of Eour h u n d r e d and th i r ty thousand pounds being t h e s u m required to defray t h e expenses of the various Depar t ­ m e n t s a n d Services of t he Colony for t h e m o n t h of J u l y or

following m o n t h of the year one thousand e ight h u n d r e d a n d
eighty-four A n d
A n d whereas we desire to m a k e good out of t he Consolidated R e v e n u e

P u n d of N e w South W a l e s t h e s u m so gran ted to H e r Majesty Be i t therefore enacted by the Queen ' s Most Exce l l en t Majesty by and with t h e advice a n d consent of t he Legislat ive Council and Legislat ive Assembly of N e w South W a l e s in P a r l i a m e n t assembled and by the au thor i ty of t he same as follows :—

1.    Ou t of t h e Consolidated R e v e n u e E u n d of N e w South Wales

the re shall and m a y be issued and applied for or towards m a k i n g good t h e supply so resolved to be g ran ted to H e r Majes ty for t h e said several Services t h e s u m of E ivc h u n d r e d and forty thousand pounds of wh ich the sum of E o u r h u n d r e d a n d th i r ty t housand pounds is to be expended a t t he ra tes which have been sanctioned for t h e year one thousand e igh t h u n d r e d a n d e igh ty- th ree subject to t h e ra te of any reduct ion t h a t m a y hereafter be m a d e in t he expend i tu re of t he year one thousand e ight h u n d r e d and eighty-four and One hundred a n d ten thousand pounds for t he Services specified in t he Schedule here to annexed.

2. The Treasurer shall issue and pay the said sum for t h e Services aforesaid in such m a n n e r and in such proport ions as t he Governor by W a r r a n t s or Orders in wr i t ing unde r his h a n d and directed to the said Treasurer shal l f rom t ime to t ime order and direct A n d the p a y m e n t s so to be made shal l be charged upon and payable ou t of

t he Consolidated R e v e n u e P u n d of the Colony.

3 . The Treasure r shal l i n his accounts from t ime to t ime be allowed credi t for all sums of money paid b y h i m in pursuance of such W a r r a n t s or Orders A n d the receipts of t h e respect ive persons to w h o m t h e same shall be so paid shall be full and valid discharges to t h e said Treasurer in pass ing his said accounts for such sums as shall lie t he re in men t ioned and he shall receive credit for t h e same accordingly.
