An Act to apply certain Sums out of the Con­ solidated Revenue Fund of New South Wales towards the Services of the Year 1879. [28th March, 1879.]

W H E R E A S we Y o u r Majes ty ' s most dutiful and loyal subjects
t h e M e m b e r s of t he Legislat ive Assembly of N e w South Wales

in P a r l i a m e n t assembled have resolved to g ran t to Y o u r Majesty the s u m of Three h u n d r e d and seventy-two thousand pounds t h a t is to say—

The sum of Three hundred and five thousand pounds being the sum
required to defray the expenses of the various Departments

and Services of the Colony from the first to the thirty-first

March one thousand eight hundred and seventy-nine And

The sum of Sixty-seven thousand pounds for the services set forth

in the Schedule hereto annexed

And whereas we desire to make good out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund of New South Wales the sum so granted to Her Majesty Be it therefore enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled and by the authority of the same as follows :—

Consolidated Revenue Fund of t he Colony.

1. O u t of t he Consolidated Revenue Fund of N e w South Wales the re shall and m a y be issued and applied for or towards m a k i n g good t h e supply so resolved to be granted to H e r Majesty for the said several services t he sum of Three hundred and seventy- two thousand pounds of which the sum of Three hundred and five thousand pounds is to be expended a t t h e rates which have been sanctioned for t he year one thousand e ight h u n d r e d and seventy-eight subject to t he ra te of any reduct ion t ha t may hereafter be m a d e in t h e expendi tu re of t h e year one thousand e ight hundred and seventy-nine and Sixty-seven thousand pounds for t h e services specified in t h e Schedule here to annexed.

2. The Treasurer shall issue and pay the said sum for t he ser­ vices aforesaid in such m a n n e r and in such proportions as t h e Governor by W a r r a n t s or Orders in wr i t ing unde r his h a n d and directed to t h e said Treasurer shall from t ime to t ime order and direct A n d the paymen t s so to be made shall be charged upon and payable out of the

The Treasurer shall in his accounts from t ime to t ime be allowed credit for al l sums of money paid by h i m in pur suance of such W a r r a n t s or Orders A n d the receipts of t he respective persons to w h o m the same shall be so paid shall be full and valid discharges to t h e said Treasurer in pass ing his said accounts for such sums as shall be there in ment ioned and he shal l receive credit for t h e same accordingly.

RAILWAYS—

To meet Wages to become clue to Railway Employes during the month of April 1879 and to cover the expenditure in March in excess of the monthly allowance at the rate of last year's appropriation and for Railway Services generally
