All Act to apply certain Sums out of the

Consolidated Revenue Fund of New South

Wales, towards the Services of the Year

1888. [2Uh March 1888.]

WH E R E A S we Your Majesty's most dutiful and loyal subjects the Members of the Legislative; Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled, have resolved to grant to Your Majesty the
sum of One million and forty-three thousand and thirty-three pounds,
that is to say—

The sum of Pour hundred and ninety-three thousand pounds, being the sum required to defray the expenses of the various Depart­ ments and Services of the Colony for the month of March

or following month of the year one thousand eight hundred

and eighty-eight. And

The sum of Live hundred and fifty thousand and thirty-three

pounds for the Services set forth in the Schedule hereto
annexed.

And whereas we desire to malce good out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund of New South Wales the sum so granted to Her Majesty. Be it therefore enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legisla­ tive Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows :—

1. Out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund of New South Wales there shall and may be issued and applied for or towards making good the supply so resolved to be granted to Her Majesty for the said several Services, the sum of One million and forty-three thousand and thirty-three pounds, of which the sum of Four hundred and ninety- three thousand pounds is to be expended at the rates which have been sanctioned lor the year one thousand eight hundred and eighty- seven, subject to the rate of any reduction that may hereafter be made in the expenditure of the year one thousand eight hundred and eighty-eight, and Five hundred and fifty thousand and thirty-three pounds for the Services specified in the Schedule hereto annexed.

3. The Treasurer shall in his accounts from time to time be allowed credit for all sums of money paid by him in pursuance of such Warrants or Orders. And the receipts of the respective persons to whom the same shall be so paid shall be full and valid discharges to the said Treasurer in passing his said accounts for such sums as shall be therein mentioned, and he shall receive credit for the same accordingly. S C H E D U L E .

2. The Treasurer shall issue and pay the said sum for the
Services aforesaid in such manner and in such proportions as the

Governor, by Warrants or Orders in writing under his hand and directed to the said Treasurer, shall from time to time order and direct. And the payments so to be made shall be charged upon and payable out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund of the Colony.
