No. VI.

A n Act to apply certain Sums out of the Con­ solidated Revenue F u n d of New South Wales towards the Services of t he Year 1875. [1st April, 1875.]

The sum of One hundred and eleven thousand nine hundred and fifty pounds for services of the year one thousand eight hundred and seventy-five in excess of the monthly pro­ portionate amount required for March, as set forth in the Schedule hereto annexed And
WH E R E A S we Your Majesty's most dutiful and loyal subjects the Members of the Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled have resolved to grant to Your Majesty the
sum of Two hundred and ninety-six thousand four hundred and
ninety-five pounds that is to say—

The sum of One hundred and eighty-four thousand five hundred and forty-five pounds being the sum required to defray the expenses of the various Departments and Services of the Colony from first to thirty-first March one thousand eight hundred and seventy-five and

And whereas we desire to make good out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund of New South Wales the sums so granted to Her Majesty Be it therefore enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled and by the authority of the same as follows :—

1. Out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund of New South Wales there shall and may be issued and applied for or towards making good the supplies so resolved to be granted to Her Majesty for the said several services the sum of Two hundred and ninety-six thousand four hundred and ninety-live pounds of which the sum of One hundred and eighty-four thousand live hundred and forty-live pounds is to be expended at the rates which have been sanctioned for the year one thousand eight hundred and seventy-four subject to the rate of any reduction that may hereafter be made in the expenditure of the year one thousand eight hundred and seventy-five and One hundred and eleven thousand nine hundred and fifty pounds for the services of the year one thousand eight hundred and seventy-five as set forth in the Schedule hereto annexed.
2. The Treasurer shall issue and pay the said sum for the services aforesaid in such manner and in such proportions as the Governor by Warrants or Orders in writing under his hand and directed to the said Treasurer shall from time to time order and direct And the payments so to be made shall be charged upon and payable out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund of the Colony.

3. The Treasurer shall in his accounts from time to time be allowed credit for all sums of money paid by him in pursuance of such Warrants or Orders And the receipts of the respective persons to whom the same shall be so paid shall be full and valid discharges to the said Treasurer in passing his said accounts for such sums as shall be therein mentioned and he shall receive credit for the same accordingly.
