An Act to apply certain Sums out of the Con­ solidated Revenue F u n d of New South Wales towards the Services of the Year 1874. [30th January, 1874.]

WH E R E A S we Your Majesty 's most dutiful and loyal subjects	t he Members of t he Legislative Assembly of N e w South Wales
in Par l i ament assembled have resolved to g ran t to Your Majesty	t he

sum of Two hundred and th i r teen thousand n ine hundred and th i r ty - n ine pounds t h a t is to say—

The sum of One hund red and fifty-three thousand nine hundred and th i r ty -n ine pounds being the sum required to defray t he expenses of t he various Depar tmen t s and Services of t he Colony from first to thirty-first J a n u a r y one thousand eight

h u n d r e d and seventy-four and

1. Out of t h e Consolidated Revenue Fund of N e w South Wales the re shall and may be issued and applied for or towards m a k i n g good the supplies so resolved to be gran ted to H e r Majesty for t he said several services the sum of Two hundred and th i r teen thousand nine hundred and th i r ty -n ine pounds of which the sum of One hundred and

The sum of Sixty thousand pounds to enable t he Treasurer to m a k e Advances to Publ ic Officers and on account of other Governments and to pay expenses of an unforeseen na tu re which will afterwards be submit ted for Par l iamentary appro­ pr ia t ion—the whole amoun t to be adjusted not la ter t h a n thirty-first December one thousand eight hundred and seventy- five

A n d whereas we desire to m a k e good out of t h e Consolidated Revenue Fund of N e w South Wales t he sums so granted to H e r Majesty Be i t therefore enacted by the Queen ' s Most Excel len t Majesty by and wi th t he advice and consent of the Legislat ive Council and Legislat ive Assembly of N e w South Wales in Pa r l i amen t assembled and by the au thor i ty of t h e same as follows :—

and fifty-three thousand nine hundred and th i r ty-n ine pounds is to he expended a t the rates which have been sanctioned for t he year one thousand eight hundred and seventy-three subject to t h e ra te of a n y reduct ion t h a t m a y hereafter be made in the expendi ture of t h e year one thousand eight hundred and seventy-four and Sixty thousand pounds to be advanced to t h e Treasurer to enable h im to m a k e Advances to Publ ic Officers and on account of other Governments and to pay expenses of an unforeseen na tu r e to be afterwards submi t t ed for Pa r l i amenta ry appropria t ion the whole a m o u n t to be adjusted no t la ter t h a n t h e thirty-first day of December one thousand eight

h u n d r e d and seventy-five.

2. The Treasurer shall issue and pay the said sum for the services aforesaid in such manne r and in such proport ions as t he Governor by W a r r a n t s or Orders in wri t ing under his h a n d and directed to t he said Treasurer shall from t ime to t ime order and direct A n d the payments so to be made shall be charged upon and payable out of t he Consolidated Revenue F u n d of t he Colony.

3. The Treasurer shall in his accounts from t ime to t ime be allowed credit for all sums of money paid by h i m in pursuance of such W a r r a n t s or Orders A n d t h e receipts of t he respective persons to w h o m the same shall be so paid shall be full and valid discharges to the said Treasurer in passing his said accounts for such sums as shall be the re in ment ioned and he shall receive credit for the same accordingly.
