A n Act to apply certain sums out of the Con­ sol idated R e v e n u e Fund towards the Services of the Year 1908-1909, and out of the Publ ic W o r k s F u n d ; and for Serv ices to be here­ after provided for by Loan. [1st October, 1908.]

WH E R E A S	t he Members of t he Legis la t ive Assembly of New Sou th
W a l e s	in P a r l i a m e n t assembled, have resolved to g ran t to Y o u r

we Your Majes ty ' s most dut i ful a n d loyal subjects ,

Majes ty the s u m of Two mil l ion one h u n d r e d and twen ty thousand

pounds , t h a t is to say :—

Out of the Consolidated R e v e n u e Fund, t he sum of One mill ion

n ine hundred and seventy thousand pounds , be ing the a m o u n t

requ i red to defray t he expenses of t he various D e p a r t m e n t s

and Services of t he Sta te d u r i n g the m o n t h s of October,

November , and December of t he financial year end ing th i r t i e th day of J u n e , one thousand nine hundred and n i n e ; and the sum of Fi f ty thousand pounds for t he Services set forth in Schedule A here to annexed.

O u t of the Pub l i c W o r k s Fund, the sum of One h u n d r e d thousand

pounds for t he Services set forth in Schedule 15 here to
a n n e x e d :

A n d whereas we desire to m a k e good out of the said F u n d s the sum so g ran ted to H i s Majesty : Be i t therefore enacted by t h e K i n g ' s Most Exce l l en t Majesty, by and wi th the advice and consent of the Legis la t ive Council and Legis la t ive Assembly of N e w South Wales in

P a r l i a m e n t assembled, and by the au thor i ty of t he same, as follows :—

1. Ou t of t h e Consolidated Revenue Fund of N e w Sou th Wales the re shal l and may be issued and applied for or towards m a k i n g good the supply so resolved to be gran ted to H i s Majes ty , t he sum of Two million and twen ty thousand pounds , of which the sum of One mil l ion n ine hundred and seventy thousand pounds is to he expended a t t he ra tes which arc shown on the Es t ima tes for the financial year end ing th i r t i e th day of J u n e , one thousand n ine hundred and nine , as laid u p o n t h e Table of t he House , to defray t he expenses of t he various D e p a r t m e n t s and Services of t h e Sta te d u r i n g t h e m o n t h s of October,

November and December of t he financial year end ing th i r t i e th day of

J u n e , one thousand nine hundred and nine, subject to t he r a t e of any reduc t ion t h a t may hereafter be made in the expend i tu re of t he year 190S-1909, and the sum of Fif ty thousand pounds is to be expended for t h e Services specified in Schedule A here to annexed .

2. Out of t h e Pub l i c W o r k s b u n d there shall and may be

issued and appl ied for or towards m a k i n g good the supply so resolved to be gran ted to H i s Majesty the s u m of One h u n d r e d thousand pounds for t he Services specified in Schedule B hereto annexed .

3. The Treasurer shall issue and pay the said sums for t he

Services aforesaid in such m a n n e r and in such propor t ion as t h e

Governor, by W a r r a n t s or Orders in wri t ing unde r his hand, and

directed to the said Treasurer , shall f rom t ime to t ime order and direct . A n d the p a y m e n t s so to be made shall be charged upon and

paid out of the Consolidated R e v e n u e Fund and the Pub l ic W o r k s

F u n d respectively.
4. The Treasurer shall in his accounts from t ime to t ime be

al lowed credit for all sums of money paid by h im in pursuance of such W a r r a n t s or Orders . A n d the receipts of the respect ive persons to w h o m the same shall be so paid shall be full and valid discharges to the said Treasurer in passing his accounts for such sums as shal l be the re in ment ioned , and he shal l receive credit for t he same accordingly .
