in P a r l i a m e n t assembled have resolved to g r a n t to Y o u r Majes ty t h e

s u m of five h u n d r e d and five thousand pounds be ing t h e s u m requi red

to defray t h e expenses of t h e various D e p a r t m e n t s a n d Services of t he

Colony for t h e m o n t h of Sep tember or following m o n t h of t h e year

one thousand e ight h u n d r e d and eighty-six A n d whereas we desire to

m a k e good o u t of t h e Consolidated R e v e n u e Fund of N e w South

Wales t h e s u m so g ran ted to H e r Majes ty Be i t therefore enac ted

by t h e Queen ' s Mos t Exce l l en t Majes ty by a n d w i t h t he advice and

consent of t he Legis la t ive Counci l and Legislat ive Assembly of N e w

South W a l e s in P a r l i a m e n t assembled and b y the au thor i ty of t h e

same as follows :—

1. Ou t of t h e Consolidated E e v e n u e Fund of N e w South W a l e s

thousand, e ight hundred and eighty-five inclusive of the annua l increases on salaries for t h a t year provided for by t he " Civil Service A c t of 188 J" subject to t he ra te of any reduc t ion t h a t may hereafter be m a d e in t he

expend i tu re of t h e year one thousand e ight h u n d r e d a n d e ighty-s ix .

2. The Treasurer shal l issue and pay the said s u m for the Services aforesaid in such m a n n e r and in such propor t ions as t he Governor by W a r r a n t s or Orders in wr i t i ng unde r his hand and directed to t h e said Treasurer shall from t ime to t ime order and direct A n d t h e paymen t so to be made shall be charged u p o n a n d payable

out of the Consolidated R e v e n u e Fund of the Colony.

3. The Treasurer shall in his accounts from t ime to t ime be allowed credit for all sums of money paid by h i m in pur suance of such W a r r a n t s or Orders A n d the receipts of t he respective persons to whom the same shall be so paid shall be full and valid discharges to t he said Treasurer in passing his said accounts for such sums as shall be there in ment ioned and he shall receive credit for t he same accordingly.
