An Act to apply cer ta in Sums out of the Consolidated Revenue F u n d of .New South Wales towards t he Services of the Year 1886 and for Services to be hereafter pro­ vided for by Loan. [27th August, 1885.]

WH E R E A S the Members of t he Legis la t ive Assembly of N e w South Wales

we T o u r Majes ty ' s most dut i ful a n d loyal subjects

in P a r l i a m e n t assembled have resolved to g ran t to Your Majes ty t h e

sum of N i n e hund red a n d forty-six thousand six hund red and	sixty-
six pounds t h a t is to say—•

The s u m of F ive hund red and t e n thousand pounds be ing the s u m required to defray the expenses of t h e various Depar t ­ men t s and Services of t h e Colony for t h e m o n t h of A u g u s t or following m o n t h of t he year one thousand e ight hundred

and eighty-s ix A n d

The sum of F o u r h u n d r e d and th i r ty - s ix thousand six hundred

and sixty-six pounds for the Services set for th in the

Schedule here to annexed.

A n d whereas we desire to m a k e good out of t h e Consolidated R e v e n u e

F u n d of N e w South Wales t h e sum so g ran ted to H e r Majesty Be i t therefore enacted by t h e Queen ' s Most Exce l l en t Majesty by and wi th t he advice and consent of t h e Legislat ive Council a n d Legislat ive Assembly of N e w South Wales in Pa r l i amen t assembled and by t h e au thor i ty of t he same as follows:—

1. O u t of t h e Consolidated R e v e n u e F u n d of N e w South W a l e s

the re shal l a n d m a y be issued and applied for or towards m a k i n g good the supply so resolved to be gran ted to H e r Majes ty for t h e said several Services the s u m of Nine h u n d r e d and forty-six thousand six h u n d r e d and sixty-six pounds of which t h e sum of F i v e h u n d r e d and t e n thousand pounds is to be expended a t t h e ra tes which have been sanctioned for t he year one thousand e igh t h u n d r e d and eighty-five inclusive of t h e a n n u a l increases on salaries for t h a t year provided for by t he " Civil Service A c t of 1884" subject to t h e r a t e of any reduct ion t h a t m a y hereafter be made in the expend i tu re of t h e year

3. The Treasurer shall in his accounts from t ime to t i m e be al lowed credit for all sums of money paid b y h i m in pu r suance of such W a r r a n t s or Orders A n d t h e receipts of t h e respective persons to w h o m t h e same shall be so pa id shall be full and valid discharges to t h e said Treasurer in pass ing his said accounts for such sums as shal l be there in ment ioned and h e shal l receive credit for t h e same accordingly. 2. The Treasurer shall issue and pay t h e said sum for t he Services aforesaid in such m a n n e r and in such proport ions as t he Governor by W a r r a n t s or Orders in wri t ing unde r his h a n d a n d directed to t he said Treasurer shall f rom t i m e to t ime order a n d direct A n d t h e paymen t s so to be made shall be charged upon and payable out of t h e Consolidated Revenue F u n d of t h e Colony.
