in P a r l i a m e n t assembled have resolved to g ran t to your Majesty t h e

s u m of One mil l ion live h u n d r e d and t h i r t y - t h r ee t housand th ree

hundred and sixty-seven pounds t h a t is to say—

The s u m of Five h u n d r e d and s ixty-seven thousand pounds be ing

t he r e shall and m a y be issued and applied for or towards m a k i n g good the supply so resolved to be gran ted to H e r Majes ty for t he said several Services the s u m of O n e mil l ion five hundred a n d th i r t y - th ree thousand th ree hund red and sixty-seven pounds of which t h e s u m of Five hundred and

the s u m requi red to defray t he expenses of t h e various D e p a r t m e n t s a n d Services of t h e Colony for t he m o n t h of

M a y or following m o n t h of t h e year one t housand e ight

and sixty-seven pounds for t h e Services set for th in the

Schedule here to annexed .

A n d whereas we desire to m a k e good ou t of t h e Consolidated R e v e n u e

Fund	of N e w South W a l e s t he sum so g ran ted to H e r Majes ty	B e it
therefore enac ted by t h e Queen 's Most Exce l l en t Majes ty	by and	wi th
t h e advice a n d consent of t h e Legis la t ive	Council a n d	Legislat ive

Assembly of N e w Sou th W a l e s in Pa r l i amen t assembled and by the

au thor i ty of t h e same as follows : —

1. O u t of t h e Consolidated R e v e n u e Fund of New Sou th Wales

a n d s ixty-seven thousand pounds is to he expended a t t h e ra tes	w h i c h
have been sanct ioned for t h e year one t housand e ight h u n d r e d	and

eighty-five inclusive of t h e a n n u a l increases on salaries for t h a t year provided for b y t h e " Civil Service A c t of 1 8 8 4 " subject to t h e r a t e of a n y reduc t ion t h a t m a y hereafter be m a d e in t h e expend i tu re of t h e

year one thousand e ight h u n d r e d and e ighty-s ix and N i n e h u n d r e d

and sixty-six thousand th ree h u n d r e d and sixty-seven pounds for	t h e
Services specified in t h e Schedule here to annexed .

2. T h e Treasure r shal l issue a n d p a y the said s u m for t h e

Services aforesaid in such m a n n e r a n d in such propor t ions as t h e Governor b y W a r r a n t s or Orders in wr i t i ng u n d e r his h a n d and directed to t he said Treasure r shal l f rom t ime to t i m e order a n d direct A n d t h e p a y m e n t s so to be m a d e shal l be cha rged u p o n a n d payable

o u t of t h e Consolidated R e v e n u e F u n d of t h e Colony.

3 . The Treasurer shal l in his accounts from t ime to t ime be

al lowed credit for al l sums of m o n e y paid b y h i m in pu r suance of such W a r r a n t s or Orders A n d the receipts of t h e respective persons to w h o m t h e same shall be so pa id shall be full a n d valid discharges to t h e said Treasurer in passing his said accounts for such sums as shall be the re in men t ioned a n d he shal l receive credit for t h e same accordingly .
