Act No. 10, 1899.
An Act to apply certain sums out of the Con solidated Revenue Fund of New South Wales towards the Services of the Year 1899-1900; and for Services to be hereafter provided for by Loan. [28th October, 1899.]
in Parliament assembled, have resolved to grant to Your Majesty the WH E R E A S we Your Majesty's most dutiful and loyal subjects the Members of the Legislative Assembly of New South Wales sum of Eight hundred and ten thousand five hundred pounds,
that is to say—The sum of Five hundred and twelve thousand pounds, being the sum required to defray the expenses of the various Departments and Services of the Colony during the month of November, or following month of the financial year
ending thirtieth June, one thousand nine hundred. And
The sum of Two hundred and ninety-eight thousand five hundred pounds for the Services set forth in the Schedule hereto annexed :
And whereas we desire to make good out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund of New South Wales the sum so granted to Her Majesty : Be it therefore enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows :—
1. Out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund of New South Wales there shall and may be issued and applied for or towards making good the supply so resolved to be granted to Her Majesty for the said several Services, the sum of Eight hundred and ten thousand live hundred pounds, of which the sum of Five hundred and twelve thousand pounds is to be expended at the rates which have been sanctioned for the financial year ended thirtieth June, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-nine, subject to the rate of any reduction that may hereafter be made in the expenditure of the year 1899-1900, and Two hundred and ninety-eight thousand five hundred pounds for the Services specified in the Schedule hereto annexed.
2. The Treasurer shall issue and pay the said sum for the
Services aforesaid in such manner and in such proportions as the
Governor, by Warrants or Orders in writing under his hand, anddirected
directed to the said Treasurer, shall from time to time order and direct. And the payments so to be made shall be charged upon and payable out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund of the Colony.
8. The Treasurer shall in his accounts from time to time be allowed credit for all sums of money paid by him in pursuance of such Warrants or Orders. And the receipts of the respective persons to whom the same shall he so paid shall he full and valid discharges to the said Treasurer in passing his said accounts for such sums as shall be therein mentioned, and he shall receive credit for the same
accordingly.
