Wf H E R E A S we Y o u r Majesty 's most dut iful and loyal subjects t he
T V Member s of t h e Legislat ive Assembly of N e w South Wales in

P a r l i a m e n t assembled, have resolved to g r a n t to Y o u r Majes ty t h e s u m of One mil l ion one h u n d r e d and fifteen thousand six hundred pounds , t h a t is to say—

The s u m of One mil l ion and fifteen thousand six hundred pounds , be ing the sum required to defray the expenses of t h e various D e p a r t m e n t s and Services of t h e Colony dur ing t h e m o n t h s of October and November , or following m o n t h of t he financial year end ing th i r t i e th J u n e , one thousand e igh t hundred and

ninety-seven. A n d

The s u m of One hund red thousand pounds for t he Services set

forth in t h e Schedule hereto a n n e x e d :
A n d whereas we desire to m a k e good out of t he Consolidated R e v e n u e
F u n d of N e w South W a l e s t he s u m so granted to H e r Majesty : Be

i t therefore enacted by the Queen ' s Most Exce l l en t Majes ty , by and wi th t h e advice and consent of the Legislat ive Counci l and Legis la t ive Assembly of N e w South W a l e s in Pa r l i amen t assembled, and by the au thor i ty of t h e same, as follows :—•

1.    Out of the Consolidated Revenue E u n d of N e w South Wales

the re shal l and m a y be issued and applied for or towards mak ing good the supply so resolved to be g ran ted to H e r Majes ty for t he said several Services, the s u m of One mil l ion one h u n d r e d and fifteen t housand six hundred pounds , of which t h e sum of One million and fifteen thousand six h u n d r e d pounds is to be expended at the rates which have been sanct ioned for t h e financial year ending th i r t i e th -Tune, one t h o u s a n d e ight hund red and ninety-seven, and One h u n d r e d thousand pounds for the Services specified in t h e Schedule here to annexed .

2. The Treasurer shall issue a n d pay the said sum for the

Services aforesaid in such m a n n e r and in such proport ions as t he Governor , by W a r r a n t s or Orders in wr i t ing unde r his hand , and directed to t h e said Treasurer , shall from t ime to t ime order and direct . A n d t h e paymen t s so to be made shall be charged u p o n a n d payable

out of t he Consolidated R e v e n u e E u n d of t he Colony.

3 . The Treasurer shall in bis accounts from t ime to t ime be

allowed credi t for all sums of money paid by h i m in pu r suance of such W a r r a n t s or Orders . A n d t h e receipts of t he respective persons to
w h o m the same shal l be so paid s h a l l be full and valid discharges

to t he said Treasurer in passing his said accounts for such sums as shall be the re in ment ioned, and h e shall receive credit for the same accordingly.
