in P a r l i a m e n t assembled have resolved to g ran t to Y o u r Majesty t h e
s u m of One mil l ion a n d t w e n t y thousand pounds t h a t is t o say—
T h e s u m of Five h u n d r e d and sixty-seven thousand pounds be ing

the s u m required to defray t h e expenses of t h e various Depar t ­ m e n t s and Services of t h e Colony from t h e first to t he twen ty -e igh th day of F e b r u a r y one thousand e ight h u n d r e d

and e ighty-s ix A n d
T h e s u m of F o u r h u n d r e d and fifty-three thousand pounds for the

Services set for th in t he Schedule here to annexed .

A n d whereas we desire to m a k e good ou t of the Consolidated Revenue F u n d of N e w Sou th Wales t h e s u m so gran ted to H e r Majesty Be i t therefore enac ted by the Queen ' s Most Exce l len t Majesty by and wi th t h e advice and consent of t h e Legis la t ive Council a n d Legislat ive

Assembly of N e w Sou th W a l e s in P a r l i a m e n t assembled and by t h e

au tho r i t y of t he same as follows : —

1. O u t of t h e Consolidated R e v e n u e F u n d of N e w South Wales

the re shal l a n d m a y be issued and appl ied for or towards m a k i n g good t h e supply so resolved to be g ran ted to H e r Majes ty for t he said several services t h e s u m of One mil l ion and t w e n t y thousand pounds of w h i c h t h e s u m of F ive hund red and sixty-seven thousand pounds is to be expended a t t h e ra tes which have been sanct ioned for t he year one thousand e igh t hundred a n d eighty-five inclusive of t he a n n u a l increases on salaries for t h a t year provided for by t he " Civil

Service A c t of 1 8 8 4 " subject to t h e r a t e of a n y reduct ion t h a t may
hereaf ter be m a d e in t h e expend i tu re of t h e year one thousand eight
3 . The Treasure r shall in his accounts from t ime to t i m e be al lowed credit for all sums of money paid by h i m in pu r suance of such W a r r a n t s or Orders A n d the receipts of t h e respect ive persons to w h o m t h e same shall be so paid shal l be full a n d valid discharges to t h e said Treasurer in pass ing his said accounts for such sums as shall be the re in men t ioned a n d lie shall receive credit for t h e same accordingly . 2. T h e Treasurer shal l issue and pay t h e said s u m for t h e Ser­

vices aforesaid in such m a n n e r a n d in such propor t ions as t h e Governor b y W a r r a n t s or Orders in wr i t i ng u n d e r his h a n d a n d directed to the

said Treasurer shall f rom t i m e to t ime order and direct And t h e
p a y m e n t s so to be made shal l be charged u p o n and payable o u t of t he
Consolidated R e v e n u e F u n d of t h e Colony.
