WH E R E A S t h e Members of t h e Legis la t ive Assembly of New South

we Your Majes ty ' s most dut i ful a n d loyal subjects ,

Wales in P a r l i a m e n t assembled, have resolved to g ran t to Your Majes ty t he sum of One mill ion three hundred and for ty- two thousand pounds , t h a t is to say :—

Out of t he Consolidated R e v e n u e Fund , t he s u m of One million

two hundred and forty-two thousand pounds , be ing the sum requi red to defray t he expenses of t he various D e p a r t m e n t s

and Services of the S ta te d u r i n g the m o n t h s of November

and December of the financial year ending th i r t i e th J u n e , one thousand nine hundred and eight ; and the sum of One h u n d r e d thousand pounds for the Services set forth in Schedule here to annexed .

A n d whereas we desire to m a k e good out of the said Fund the sum so g ran ted to H i s M a j e s t y : Be it therefore enacted by the King ' s Most Exce l len t Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legis la t ive Council and Legis la t ive Assembly of New South Wales in P a r l i a m e n t assembled, and by the au thor i ty of the same, as follows : —

1. Ou t of the Consolidated Revenue Fund of New South Wales there shall and may be issued and applied for or towards m a k i n g good t h e supply so resolved to be granted to His Majesty, the sum of One million three hundred and forty-two thousand pounds, of which the sum of One million two hundred and forty-two thousand pounds is to be expended at the rates which are shown on the Es t imates for t he financial year ending the th i r t ie th day of J u n e , one thousand nine hund red and eight , as laid upon the Table of the House, to defray the expenses of the various Depar tments and Services of the State du r ing t h e m o n t h s of November and December , subject to the rate of any reduct ion t h a t may hereafter be made in the expend i tu re for the said year , and the sum of One h u n d r e d thousand pounds is to be expended for the Services specified in Schedule hereto annexed.

2. The Treasurer shall issue and pay the said sums for the Services aforesaid in such m a n n e r and in such proport ion as the Governor, by W a r r a n t s or Orders in wri t ing under his hand, and directed to the said Treasurer , shall from t ime to t ime order and direct. A n d the paymen t s so to be made shall be charged upon and

paid out of the Consolidated R e v e n u e Fund .

3. The Treasurer shall in his accounts from t ime to t ime be al lowed credit for all sums of money paid by him in pursuance of such "Warrants or Orders. A n d the receipts of the respective persons to w h o m the same shall be so paid shall be full and valid discharges to the said Treasurer in passing his accounts for such sums as shall be there in ment ioned , and he shall receive credit for the same
