An Act to apply certain suras out of the Con­ solidated Revenue F u n d of New South Wales towards the Services of the Year 1901-1902 ; and for Services to be hereafter provided for

by Loan. [9th August, 1901.]
W H E R E A S we Your Majes ty ' s most dut i ful a n d loyal subjects

t he Members of t h e Legis la t ive Assembly of New South Wales in P a r l i a m e n t assembled, have resolved to g ran t to Your Majes ty t he s u m of Two mil l ions th ree hundred and two thousand one hundred and fifty pounds , t h a t is to say—

The sum of One mil l ion and n ine ty - two thousand pounds , be ing

the s u m requi red to defray t h e expenses of t he various D e p a r t m e n t s and Services of t he Sta te d u r i n g the m o n t h s

of J u l y and Augus t , or following m o n t h of t h e financial year
ending th i r t i e th J u n e , one thousand nine hund red and two.

A n d whereas we desire to m a k e good out of t he Consolidated R e v e n u e

E u n d of N e w Sou th AVales the s u m so g ran ted to H i s Majes ty : Be i t therefore enacted hy the K i n g ' s Most Exce l len t Majesty, hy and wi th t he advice and consent of the Legislat ive Council and Legis la t ive Assemhly of N e w South Wales in P a r l i a m e n t assembled, and h y the au thor i ty of t h e same, as follows :—

1.    Ou t of t h e Consolidated R e v e n u e E u n d of N e w South Wales

the re shal l and m a y be issued and applied for or towards m a k i n g good t h e supply so resolved to be g ran ted to H i s Majesty for t he said several Services, t h e sum of Two mill ions three hund red and two t h o u s a n d one hundred and fifty pounds , of which t h e s u m of One mill ion and n ine ty - two thousand pounds is to be expended a t t he rates which have been sanct ioned for t he financial year ended th i r t i e th J u n e , one thousand n ine hundred and one, subject to t h e r a t e of a n y reduct ion

t h a t m a y hereafter be m a d e in t h e expend i tu re of t h e year 1901-1902 ,

a n d One mil l ion two hund red and ten thousand one h u n d r e d and fifty pounds for t he Services specified in t he Schedule hereto annexed .

2 . The Treasurer shall issue and pay t h e said s u m for t h e

Services aforesaid in such m a n n e r and in such proport ions as t h e

Governor, b y W a r r a n t s or Orders in wr i t ing unde r his hand, and directed to t he said Treasurer , shall from t ime to t ime order and direct. A n d the paymen t s so to be made shall be charged upon and

payable out of t he Consolidated R e v e n u e E u n d of t he State .

3. The Treasurer shall in his accounts from t ime to t ime be al lowed credit for all sums of money paid by h i m in pur suance of such W a r r a n t s or Orders. A n d the receipts of the respect ive persons to w h o m the same shall be so paid shall be full and valid discharges to t he said Treasurer in pass ing his said accounts for such sums as shal l be there in ment ioned , and he shal l receive credit for t he same
