t he Members of the Legis la t ive Assembly of N e w Sou th Wales

the re shall and m a y be issued and applied for or towards m a k i n g good t h e supply so resolved to be g ran ted to H e r Majes ty for t h e said several Services,

s u m of Two mil l ion one hundred and four thousand and fifty-eight

pounds, t h a t is to say—

The sum of One mil l ion five hund red and twenty-five thousand

and fifty-eight pounds , be ing t h e sum requi red to defray t he
expenses of t h e var ious D e p a r t m e n t s and Services of t he
Colony d u r i n g the m o n t h s of J u l y , Augus t , and September , or
following m o n t h of t h e financial year ending th i r t i e th J u n e ,
one thousand e ight h u n d r e d and ninety-seven. A n d

The s u m of F ive h u n d r e d and seventy-nine thousand pounds for

t he Services set for th in t h e Schedule here to annexed :

A n d whereas we desire to m a k e good out of t he Consolidated R e v e n u e F u n d of N e w South Wales t he s u m so g ran ted to H e r Majes ty : Be i t therefore enacted by the Queen ' s Most Exce l l en t Majesty , by a n d wi th t h e advice and consent of t he Legis la t ive Council and Legislat ive Assembly of N e w South W a l e s in P a r l i a m e n t assembled, and by t h e

au tho r i t y of t h e same, as follows :—

1.    Ou t of the Consolidated R e v e n u e F u n d of N e w South Wales

Services, t h e s u m of Two mill ion one h u n d r e d and four thousand and
fifty-eight pounds , of which t h e s u m of One mil l ion five hund red and twenty-five thousand a n d fifty-eight pounds is to be expended a t t he rates which have been proposed for t h e financial year ending t h i r t i e th J u n e , one thousand e ight hundred and ninety-seven, subject to t he ra te of a n y reduct ion made in t he Es t imates laid on t he Table of t he Assembly on fifteenth of Ju ly , one thousand eight hund red and n ine ty- six, or a n y fur ther reduct ion hereaf ter to be made in t he expend i tu re of t he financial year hereinbefore ment ioned, and F ive hund red and seventy-nine thousand pounds for the Services specified in t he Schedule

here to annexed.
2. The Treasurer shall issue and pay the said sum for t he

Services aforesaid in such m a n n e r and in such propor t ions as t h e Governor, by "Warrants or Orders in wr i t ing unde r his hand, and directed to t h e said Treasurer , shall from t ime to t ime order and direct . A n d t h e p a y m e n t s so to be made shal l lie charged upon and

payable ou t of t he Consolidated R e v e n u e F u n d of t h e Colony.

3 . The Treasurer shall in his accounts from t ime to t ime be allowed credi t for all sums of money paid by h i m in pur suance of such W a r r a n t s or Orders . A n d the receipts of t he respective persons to w h o m t h e same shall be so paid shall be full and valid discharges to t he said Treasurer in passing his said accounts for such sums as shal l be there in ment ioned , and lie shall receive credi t for t h e same accordingly.
